The size is ideal for primary live feeds for O. insignis larva. Mussel larvae are fed at density 50 larvae/ml with 6 hours interval from Day 3 to 10. Additionally, the larva has advantages of well nutrition and easy production. This method produces 30 million mussel larvae from a female at 30 hours after fertilization.
